How strong do you think Roxas is compared to the others (organization members/keyblade wielders, etc)? Do you guys think he’s keyblade master material? Why or why not?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2020 12:48 AM PST

In particular, how do you think he compares to Sora?Personally, thanks to scenes like "Roxas vs Axel" or when he fought Sora, I think Roxas commands the keyblade(s) slightly more elegantly than Sora.

Not sure how he compares to the other XIII members. Marluxia seems extremely powerful during CoM, but maybe Xemnas gave him a boost before he left.

I honestly don't know. Let me know your thoughts on all of that.

Why I am fascinated by how Kingdom Hearts is going to end.

    Posted: 26 Nov 2020 06:56 PM PST

I know Tetsuya Nomura most likely has no current plans to end the franchise but just thinking about how this franchise is going to end may end is fascinating to me.

The reason is because Kingdom Hearts is taking a more gray road than the blacks and whites of good and evil or how kingdom hearts would say it, "light and dark." Tetsuya Nomura is a smart man. Maybe smarter than any of use expected. Nomura has said in many interviews that the entire idea of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was built on the exact opposite of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. While those games has more black and white ideals of good and evil, versus xiii was going to focus on the gray. In our world, there is no true good and evil. We can't just kill the "bad guy" and everything in the world will be happy. Our world is so much more complex than that. Nomura understood this which was why he was introducing Final Fantasy (and Kingdom Hearts fans who were fans of him) to the one game that sadly, I believe both of them would hate. Final fantasy Versus XIII.

But that's a topic for another day. The main topic is why I am fascinated by how this franchise that is focused on the blacks and whites of good and bad might end. The spark for this mindset of mines has started when I first saw Xehanort put on armour that looks like Baphomet in Kingdom Hearts III. Now, like many other Kingdom Hearts fans, I thought "XEHANORT LOOKS LIKE SATAN!!!" too. But now that I am older and have studied satanism, I finally understand why Nomura put Xehanort in that armor. Now let me educate you on what Baphomet represents. Baphomet is designed to be half human and half animal. Both man and woman. Baphomet represents not good or bad but both. When Baphomet does the Two figure salute, that symbolizes harmony between mercy and justice. Nomura knew exactly what he was doing when he put Xehanort in Baphomet-looking armor.

Xehanort's entire mission to save the world(s) was focused around the idea of doing bad things to bring out the best good. He knew that using Kingdom Hearts to purge the world would've ended all life but he felt in his heart that it was worth it because the darkness in all of the worlds would've continued to spread if someone didn't do anything about it. Maybe Xehanort wanted Kingdom Hearts to reshape his universe in the image of Yozora's universe. A universe where the concepts of "dark and light" wouldn't bring the end of civilization. A universe why the keyblade war wouldn't happen over and over again because of the forever clashing between darkness and light. Xehanort must've broken hearted to have realized that the universe that he is from is on a never ending cycle of light and darkness and never a balance...By Xehanort using darkness to bring out the light he become more than what anyone in the Kingdom Hearts could comprehend. In Melody of Memory the main cast couldn't even comprehend a universe that isn't of darkness or light. How could they have ever understood what Xehanort was trying to do if they couldn't understand that the universe is more gray than the black and white ideals of light and darkness.

Kingdom Hearts is a franchise built on darkness and light...But when Versus XIII was cancelled Nomura had the idea of taking those concepts and adding them to the Kingdom Hearts world. The concepts that had the ideals that our universe isn't as black and white as some people would like to think...Which is why I am fascinated of how Kingdom Hearts might end. The reason why The Master of Masters and "darkness" are both the new antagonists of Kingdom Hearts is because they represent everything our world isn't. Master of Masters, no matter how "good" he may seem, is one of the greatest enemy's to the kingdom hearts world and even our world that no one have even considered before...He represents that is only one light and one darkness and that no one can even think about anything in the middle of those. The Master of Masters is happy sora defeated Xehanort at the end of Kingdom Hearts III because he kept the "world order" that there is only light and darkness and if Xehanort one, he would have created a world where light and darkness doesn't exist...And Sora paid for it with his life.

How will Kingdom Hearts end? Will it end in light? Darkness? Or something in between? And if it does end with something in between how will the fans take it? Tetsuya Nomura is about to tell one of the important stories ever in the history of storytelling. And I am so here for it.
