Disney characters doing ridiculous, over-the-top anime stunts is exactly what roped me into the franchise, so of course this was my favorite part of the DLC

I just wanna give some credit to Richard Epcar. I kinda feel bad he had to take over for Billy Zane. Everyone always talks about Billy Zane so I just wanna give my boy Epcar some credit. He had to deliver some cheesy lines.

    Yozora's True Name

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 05:40 PM PDT

    Yozora's True Name

The premise is this: Yozora's heart was transferred (like Luxu and Terranort) into the Riku lookalike body that we see in Verum Rex, Yozora secret ending, and Remind and is currently in control. And the name of the original owner of the body is Latin for Sword

First to prove the Yozora heart transfer.

In Remind, Yozora says, "this isn't what I really look like"

Yozora says straight up that he doesn't actually look like what he appears

In Remind, Yozora says, "how did you recognize me as Yozora?"

Yozora is surprised not that Sora knows he is, but that he knows that his name is Yozora implying that others don't generally know this and that he's going by some other name.

The Nameless Star says, "He's been changed beyond recognition—his heart replaced with another's."

The "He" that the nameless star is referring to is Yozora, or at least the Riku lookalike body we know as Yozora, and she says outright that there was a heart transfer.

Second, what makes me think that the name of the Riku lookalike body and the heart that originally owned it is Latin for Sword? In a cut cutscene, Rex not only mistakes Sora for Yozora, but also mistakes Donald and Goofy as Magia and Aegis, implying that those are the names of the two other male characters in the Verum Rex trailer. In latin, Magia means magic, and Aegis means shield. So why do I believe that the Riku lookalike body is named Sword in latin? At the start of KH1 you are to choose between a shield, a staff (to represent magic), and a sword. Magia and Aegis stand for the staff and shield which leaves the sword. Google translate gives us a few options as to the translation of Sword: Gladio, Gladius, Ferrum, Ensis, Mucro, Telum, Harpe, and Machaera. It's probably either one of these or some variation of one of these.

    That's the theory.

After beating KH2 multiple times over the past few years, not being able to skip the credits is easily the most frustrating thing about doing multiple playthroughs.

Rewatching the opening to KH1 after beating KH3 and Remind

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 09:37 PM PDT

As the title says, I beat KH3 + the Remind dlc and rewatched the opening to KH1 just now. I decided to put in 1.5 and start a new game instead of searching it up on youtube or pressing the theatre option. Maybe I'm just tired, but 14 year old Sora is so small.

I guess it didn't register before because I was a kid watching my brother play the first two games.

The Kingdom Hearts 1 opening feels lonely because only Sora, Riku, and Kairi are in it. Sora questioning everything at the beginning hits different. I've seen this opening so many times too. Another thing I noticed was Riku and Kairi don't appear together once or interact. The opening focuses more on Sora's individual relationships with both of them. Honestly, I feel like I'm trying to get at something but I don't know what it is.

Now I'm wondering what Sora's thoughts were like before the Station of Awakening and the storm. He's been thinking about this a lot, pre-Kingdom Hearts 1. Evident by the opening.

And I'm still processing KH3 even though I knew all the spoilers. I would start KH3 then stop, start again, and repeat. Like, I straight up couldn't play it for some reason.

I don't know what to do anymore.

I needed to get these thoughts out. All of the above is jumbled and I really do need to sleep so goodnight.

Dr. Facilier should have been a villain in KH3

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 09:13 PM PDT

The entire premise of Princess and the Frog would have made such an amazing Kingdom Hearts world. Getting transformed into an animal with the prince and Tiana, with Facilier becoming the final villain after his 'friends on the other side' decide he failed in his method.
