    Should Mission Mode come back to the KH franchise?

    Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on the Nintendo DS gave us a new mode called "Mission Mode". Its a mode where you can replay all of the missions from the story mode you went through, but now as different characters. For example, you could do the Xion boss fight...as Xion. The character select screen showed the different stats of the characters and what weapon they used. The gear you get not only changes how that weapons plays, but also your stats as well.

    In 358/2 Days, you could play as members of the Organization 13, Roxas, Xion, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku and Mickey, each having their own stats (excluding Roxas, Sora and Xion, since they're just the same character). Should this mode come back in a future installment, or should it stay in 358/2 Days?

    It was a long journey but we got it done

    After a good few months, my girlfriend finally made it through the kingdom hearts games (excluding Dream Drop Distance). 27 deaths in KH1, 11 deaths in CoM, 7 deaths in KH2, 24 deaths in BBS, and 3 deaths in KH3. She was super pumped to get through it by the end but was highly disappointed by the fate of you know who at the end of KH3.

    To my surprise, we lay down and she asks if she can play KH1 again because it was her favorite. I'm super glad she enjoyed it and I'm excited to go down this road with her again.

    Thanks again to the Kingdom Hearts developers for not only giving me an experience I can remember forever but also giving me an experience me and this amazing woman will be able to share.

    My One Concern with the Series Going Forward

    Alright, I got to say it to someone who'll listen since I don't actually know other Kingdom hearts fans. I have one worry about where the series will go from here. What do we do with the cast of characters? Roxas, Xion, Namine, Axel/Lea, Terra, Ventus, Aqua are now alive and well (I guess Isa too) along with the original trilogy. When we lost the nobody characters in story it was sad but I was okay with it.

    I'm also okay with them coming back, and I was thrilled to see the BBS team get their reunion after waiting for so long. However, they're now alive and active. I want to see more of them. I want to see the Days team try to craft a life for themselves now that they have finally gained that freedom. I want to see Terra grow past his past failings like Riku did and Ventus...doing something (I know Aqua has just been assigned a new role in the story so I'm not mentioning her). Also, Namine is alive but doesn't really fit in with anyone unless we want the Days trio to gain a fourth member, Honestly, the idea of seeing these characters get to just be themselves and go on adventures again is more appealing than seeing Sora and Riku (not Kairi she still needs more screen time please and thank you).

    I know its not realistic to expect these characters to get that much time dedicated to each of them. However, I don't think its impossible for us to at least get something where we can see more of them. I'm kind of holding out hope that while the main development team works on the next big entry, other developers can make spin offs like Melody of Memory that let us see maybe one trio at a time. I don't know. Maybe its wishful thinking, but I don't want to see this last game bring them all together just to let them fade away.
