    The original Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 (2002) didn't actually have any realtime lights. It faked it all perfectly, and it made the game look AMAZING.

    Goofy is the strongest character in the game, he saved me so many times by either deflecting an attack or straight up staggering the organization members, and Donald was healing me pretty efficiently too. This is my second time going over these fights and I remembered them being a lot harder. This post is really to appreciate goofy.

    A Damsel is Distress

    The Verum Rex trailer is very suspicious. At first glance, what happens seems simple; Yozora and friends are trying to rescue a damsel in distress, traversing a vortex and fighting robots to do it. But if we look again, what actually is happening? It's supposed to be a trailer for a videogame, so it could be edited in a misleading way, but let's assume that that the events of the trailer are happening chronologically as we see them because that what seems to be happening. If you look closely, the sky beam is coming from the girl which is likely creating the spell circle in the sky that's causing the buildings to crumble into it and causing the subsequent vortex.

    But why is she doing this? Causing such destruction doesn't seem like something a damsel in distress would do let alone a good guy that we should root for. Before the vortex appears, the girl gets surrounded by Gigas, but right after we see a bunch of Gigas coming from inside the vortex rising up to fight Yozora and friends.

    Why doesn't the vortex affect the Gigas? And if doesn't affect them, why not just grab the girl a go or kill her right there if that's the goal? It seems to me that the actual goal of the Gigas is not to attack or capture the girl, but to defend her instead. Considering who that the Gigas are fighting Yozora and friends, they are the ones that the Gigas are defending the girl from.

    So, what does the vortex actually do? If you look closely, after the girl gets grabbed by Giga and the vortex is dispelled, the buildings in the background are back and, crucially, undamaged! So, what the heck could this possibly be? Believe it or not, we've seen this before.

    In Kh1 we see what happens when a world falls to darkness Destiny Islands falls

    As you can see, it looks incredibly similar to what happens in the Verum Rex trailer. Destiny Islands is caught in a vortex and it's crumbling into the dark void in the sky. And at the end of the game when Destiny Islands is brought back out of the darkness, it comes out fully restored.

    If these similarities are on purpose, then we can conclude that the Verum Rex girl has the ability to cause worlds to fall to darkness and she was trying to do it to Quadratum.

    It's been all but confirmed that the Verum Rex girl is the Nameless Star, but the Nameless Star's personality seems incongruous now that we know the Verum Girl is causing Quadratum to Fall to darkness. In KH3, after Sora asks Nameless Star who's heart she is and she responds "No one's anymore. They took my name—everything about me". In Melody of Memory, the fairy godmother says about the nameless star that "Her form was taken from her, but she managed to find her way here. If she goes back to her world, her heart will certainly be stolen". So, to make sense of this, what I'm guessing is that the Verum Rex trailer takes place after the Nameless Star lost her body and what we're seeing is someone else taking control of it. What's also possible is that the one who going to steal the Nameless Star should she go back to her world is Yozora!

    So that's my theory and my Ideas.

    Hey, y'all. This may not sound like a huge achievement to everyone, but I just had to share it, and this feels like the place. Last night, I finally beat KH1. Well, KH1.5 FM, but you get the picture. Back when I was a little one (something like 10) I had so much trouble with Ansem's 2nd fight, the one where he excludes Donald and Goofy, that I put it down... for 15 years. I went on to play and beat KHII and KHIII, but always had a nagging reminder that I was never able to finish KH1. And now I have, on Proud mode, nonetheless!

    Anyways, TLDR: 25 y/old beats KHI for the first time.
