    Aqua in the Caribbean

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 09:39 PM PDT

I noticed a really good reason for why Aqua is in the Caribbean when her heart is stolen by the Lich. It's not just because the world is mostly water.

Think about how that world ends. At the end, Will is cast away from the real world and is set adrift at sea and can only come back for one day after 10 years at sea.

Sound familiar? Who else was cast away for ten years but found their way back? Aqua.

It also makes sense that in the beginning, Jack is trapped in the realm of the dead (Davie Jone's Locker) but ends up finding his way out with the help of his friends. Again, directly paralleling Aqua being trapped in the realm of darkness and being rescued by her friends.

Honestly her placement there is like the smartest bit of character parallels I've seen that often gets overlooked.

Now every time I replay the world, I just think about Aqua the whole time lol.

    Shocked by KHFM Difficulty

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 06:40 PM PDT

As a lover of single player rpgs, I felt almost obligated to pick up the 1.5 + 2.5 HD set now that its out on Xbox. I guess I didn't expect a game with disney characters on the front to particularly challenging. However I am dying over and over again as I move into the Coliseum area especially. As a Souls series veteran I am obviously humiliated by my performance in kh1fm so far. Im playing on normal btw, any advice or tips??

What is your most prized Kingdom Hearts possession!? For myself I’d have to say my limited edition Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro, it sold out here in America in seconds but I managed to get it on the Japanese version of Amazon. It wasn’t easy and was a hassle but I managed to snag it before it sold out!

    Kh2 critical mode

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 11:57 PM PDT

Any suggestions to beat this damn thing? I only played standard mode so far in all my games(except kh3 proud which was easy anyways) so i decided to play critical in my favorite one. But i get stuck in ridiculous locations. Like right now i can't get past the pirate ship. Are there any good grind locations or items to buy?

    Lol sora is a hypocrite

End of kh2: riku is like, if there has to be darkness, to balance light, then we will be the darkness

End of kh3: vanitas be like im darkness, and sora was like no you cant be before ventus can even speak

I get his point with xehanort resetting everything not being his choice but ventus wasnt doing it for a world wipe/reset lol he just wanna be darkness

Crazy but... I never played past the first game. Probably the favorite game of my childhood. I’m debating buying a PS and getting this and some old classics. How were the other Kingdom Hearts games?

    Optimal Dream Eaters

    Posted: 28 Jun 2021 07:53 PM PDT

Hey guys. I was wondering what your opinion for the best dream eater setup is. Basically what I hope to gain is a set up that has all or as close to all the stats activated. I'm aware the support abilites remain activated once you unlock it so I'm not too concerned about that.

How do you feel about Re:Chain of Memories, mechanics wise?

    Posted: 29 Jun 2021 12:04 AM PDT

I understand that Re:CoM has always been a divisive game (personally I really enjoy it, but that's besides the point), but I don't think anyone can say it wasn't ambitious/experimental. I mean, card-based real-time fighting system in 3D space, who would even come up with that? The closest thing I can think of that's similar is this old Xbox game Phantom Dust, but even that's a stretch, and it notable that there hasn't been a game like it in for a decade going.

Now, whether or not this was experiment that was successful is still up to debate, and unfortunately I can only comment on the PS2 remake. I just thought it would be fun and informative to consider the game from a game design point of view, taking a broad look at everything from custom dungeon layouts to the infamous deck system, and ask ourselves the following:

    1. What the most enjoyable part for you gameplay wise and how do you think it could've been made better?
    2. What was the worst part of your experience with it and how would you go about fixing it?
