Just had a dream where Sora in Smash.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:32 AM PDT

So at the start of the trailer, Sora awakes from an unknown forest. Then suddenly he gets attacked by the Shadow version of the Smash characters.

At the end, after defeating them, when he is looking around, he sees a castle and finds an unknown characters in Black Coat standing on the roof. The Black Coat this person wears has some red lines and they are wearing a black armor.

    Sora then chasing after them.

And then to the classic mode. In this mode, Sora has to fight some opponents. At the end, he fights an unknown opponent.

There are some cutscenes. The first cutscene is Sora meets and asks the unknown who they are. Then the unknown summons a dark keyblade with red eye. Regardless Sora wins or not, the cutscene will treat it as if he lost the fight. Sora then falls to unconscious. The unknown then carries him to the castle. They says they need him for a greater battle.

And there is the line "Reconnect Kingdom Heart" at the end.

The picture at the end depicts Sora in the middle and he is sleeping on a throne. On the left is the characters from Smash with some unknown characters. Above them is the Red/Black Kingdom Heart. On the right is the original KH main casts. Above them is the Blue/White KH.

Do Pureblood Heartless have hearts, or not?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 09:31 AM PDT

I'm basically reading through multiple wikis because I've just finished the franchise but one thing that keeps bothering me is this question: Do Purebloods have hearts?

I know the difference of Pureblood and Emblems but the question that's bugging me is just:

If Purebloods don't have hearts (They don't release one) where does the heart go, after an individual gets consumed by darkness? or do they have one?

One other source said that they go to the Realm of Darkness or something like that.

I understand Emblems but Purebloods are still an enigma to me.

[Help] In KH2 and I've played through Kh1, CoM and 358/2 days, but I still dont know if my party's skills apply to Sora or are they strictly only for themselves? I hardly use Goofy at all because I like including the world's main character instead with Donald as healer.

Has sora ever been attacked by a sea bear?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:16 AM PDT

In kh2 remix, he wears his crown side ways, aka in a goofy fashion

And might get a sea bears attention, or attract one

Now, when he goes to atlantica, or underwater in the pirates of the Caribbean world, there's a chance he might get attacked by a sear bear

I'm really worried about sora guys 😥😥😥

    Thoughts About Terra

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 02:47 PM PDT

Hello, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day. This is my first post here, after lurking for many years but this has been on my mind lately.

KH has been one of my favorite video game franchises since 2002 when I first played KH1 and this series and these characters mean the world to me and have been a huge part of my life for well over half my life. That said, I've never participated in the fandom in any way up until this year (for whatever reason), and I've learned a lot of surprising things about general fan consensus on the games, lore, combat systems, characters, etc.

KH2 and Birth By Sleep are tied as my favorite games in the series and Roxas and Terra are tied as my favorite characters and they both mean the world to me. Dipping my toe in the fandom recently, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that Roxas is a generally well-loved and quite popular character, which makes me so happy because I have vague memories of people disliking him when KH2 first came out.

On the flip side, I was shocked at the general fan consensus on Terra. I've been bingeing a lot of KH-related YouTube videos and inevitably everyone brings up hating Terra, I've seen posts on here in the archives about how terrible he is...he seems almost universally disdained. bl00dybizkitz, whose opinions I don't typically share but whose content I still find interesting occasionally, almost outright called Terra evil and I was truly shocked.

I realize that he's horribly naive and far too trusting, but the same could be said for Sora, yet unlike Sora, Terra has the unfortunate luck of meeting villains first many times and trusting in what they say. I can understand that being annoying being annoying as the player, because we have the benefit of knowing who the villains of these stories are, but Terra doesn't and honestly I find his openness an endearing quality. Being too trusting will always get you in trouble (as someone who is too trusting myself, I've learned this the hard way many times), but I still find it admirable that he's always willing to give people chances. He is also certainly naive but he is also very young and hasn't seen much of the world prior to the events of BBS; being naive under such circumstances is understandable (I think) and doesn't make him a bad person. And I think it should count for something that when Terra is proven wrong, he acknowledges it. Like he may have not realized Hook was a villain at first, but once he did realize this, it's not like he continued to support him. He's not a bad person...just a bit of a himbo (total tangent, but that's one reason I loved seeing him and Zack interact: my two favorite himbos who just wanna be heroes and protect their friends).

Eraqus's comment about him being "power hungry" is something I see a lot of fans use against Terra as proof that he isn't a good person, but a) as much as Eraqus said that, I didn't really see any indication of this power hungry mentality in Terra throughout the game, b) Eraqus is a deeply flawed character himself, so I'm not entirely sure his word should be taken as a universal truth and used as the final judgment for another character and c) it seems, especially through Terra's conversation with baby Riku, that the reason he wants power is to protect the people he cares about, which is extremely admirable to me. The way Eraqus says it makes it seem like a horrible thing and in general the phrase "power hungry" does not have positive connotations...but the way Terra is presented as a character is that he simply wishes to be strong enough to defend his friends and safeguard them from harm, which is an extremely touching and wonderful trait that both Terra and Riku possess, and yet only Riku seems praised for it.

And on the topic of Eraqus, it seems to go often overlooked that Eraqus probably caused some issues with Terra, albeit unintentionally, due to the way he thinks in absolutes about light and darkness. Instead of offering support for Terra when it became clear the child was struggling to control his darkness, he condemned him for it and Xehanort offered to help him learn control, which is something he desperately wanted and should have gotten assistance from from his master.

TW for rape on this next part

Then the Xehanort thing...this is perhaps too personal to post on Reddit, but it always upsets me that so much of the fandom is so keen to blame Terra almost entirely for what happened with Xehanort, because it feels like victim-blaming. I've been raped and it would destroy me if I was blamed for what the person who abused and manipulated did to me, and Terra was absolutely manipulated and abused by Xehanort, but so few people seem to offer him any sympathy for this and instead use it as yet another reason to be annoyed by Terra as a character.

Of course we know Xehanort is a villain, but besides just Terra's innately trusting personality (which, again, I think is admirable, especially because so many folks in real life are so suspicious of others and misanthropic and believe that the world is out to get them, when good people do, in fact, exist), this is a man who was welcomed into The Land of Departure by Terra's master and father figure, someone he had every reason to trust and looks up to immensely. Eraqus invited him in and Terra would have realized that they had some sort of friendship in the past, so Terra would have no reason to distrust Xehanort. It would have been nice if he'd figured out that Xehanort was using him earlier, but Terra isn't exactly quick on the uptake and he got there eventually, even though it was too late by that point.

But in this situation, the person I blame absolutely is Xehanort, who knew that Terra was naive and trusting and someone who could be easily manipulated, and I don't believe this is Terra's fault in any way. The fault lies with Xehanort for taking advantage of a very young person for his own ends.

Even then, as much as Terra loses in the end, the fact that Lingering Will exists at all is a testament to Terra's strength of character and conviction and the intensity of his dedication to protecting his friends and righting his mistakes.

Terra is nothing short of unbelievably admirable and heroic to me and I am astonished at the sheer number of people who dislike him or even despise him. He's not perfect, but none of the characters are. He's too trusting, but I think that many people (in real life) are too much the opposite and I think it's wonderful that he doesn't keep everyone at a distance, he keeps an open mind about everyone he meets and he doesn't judge people by appearances but rather by their actions. His naivety can be frustrating as the player, but he's young and just now getting to see the world and meet all new kinds of people and have new experiences. I think he would've grown past that if he'd gotten more of a chance to explore what the multiverse has to offer before norted and having his chance at life ripped away from him. And, again, Sora has his moments of naivety as well. Being trusting and naive aren't characteristics that make someone a bad person.

Add that to the fact that Terra genuinely tries to help everyone he meets (I adore the moment where he comforts Cinderella and tells her that wounded hearts often become susceptible to darkness...he seemed to be speaking from personal experience and that's the moment I first fell in love with him), and is extraordinarily polite and kind and generally very gentle and thoughtful.

He was horribly manipulated by Xehanort and dismissed by Eraqus when all he really needed was some help learning to control the darkness in him and for whatever reason, much of the fandom blames him for these things and hates him for it, instead of sympathizing with his plight, because his story is really quite tragic.

This was an unnecessarily long ramble of me just defending Terra or trying to explain why I love him so dearly and why I think he's one of the most admirable and noble and strong-willed and heroic characters in this series. Sorry to anyone who wasted their time reading this mess haha.

But I was also wondering about your thoughts on Terra? Why do you dislike (or like) him? Why do you think he is so detested by so much of the fandom? Does anyone else love him a lot or is it just me? 😂
