Posted: 03 Aug 2021 07:46 AM PDT I know this has been said a lot before, but the story pacing in KH3 is not very good. I'm replaying it now and am just reminded that there is so much waiting for the story to move forward. The Caribbean and San Fransokyo are such cool worlds, but I find myself rushing through them so I can get to the finale. I think (and I'm sure this is not a new thought) that if the Aqua and Ventus stuff had happened in the middle (similar to the Radiant Garden fight in KH2), this game would be so so much better. Everything else can stay the same, just move those fights/scenes so they don't get lost in everything else. There's not much reason for my post, just to share in my feelings that one small change in story order would have made a world of difference. [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Aug 2021 11:26 AM PDT Alright guys. I've been seeing a lot of people who dislike kingdom hearts 3 say that basically all of the Disney worlds are filler. As someone who loves kingdom hearts 3 I have decided to replay every numbered title in the series (including chain of memories because I'm a sucker for the story) and give my thoughts on which game actually feels like the majority of Disney worlds have the least plot relevance. So far I am about halfway through my playthrough of kingdom hearts 3 and I feel as though I have refreshed my memory enough to give a thoughtful opinion on all of the games (considering I've played through all of them at least 5 times). Now before I get into this I want it to be known that I believe all Disney worlds have their positives and without them it wouldn't be kingdom hearts. If you'd like to play kingdom hearts without Disney worlds, there is a great franchise called final fantasy that may get you excited (joking). So kingdom hearts 1: Disney worlds are pretty good. Some way better than others but they have some really good encounters with riku and sora. We also know that this was the first entry so the Disney worlds were basically the main selling point of the game. I also believe that this game had the best version of the coliseum and I would've liked to have a coliseum in kingdom hearts 3 that is similar. I did enjoy the battle gates but it just makes sense for it to be in the coliseum especially when Olympus was improved immensely in kingdom hearts 3. So my final verdict is: kingdom hearts 1 has a great entry to why Disney worlds are important and it does a decent job at tying the story throughout the worlds with maleficent and especially the encounters with Riku in monstro and neverland. Kingdom hearts 2: ah yes the fan favorite. The combat in this game is really impressive compared to kingdom hearts 1. I actually couldn't believe it when I was a kid and rented it from blockbuster after beating kingdom hearts 1. Everything is so smooth and it's even better in the final mix version. The worlds here are interesting because it includes revisits with different plot points which lean towards a more Disney focused subplot. I feel like kh2 shines in most spots but the worlds do feel like they take a little longer and develop more slowly than the other numbered titles. One of my favorite tie-ins in this game include the space paranoids inside of the computer at hollow bastion I thought that was really clever. And I also love the transition that they took from being in halloween town in 1 to being in christmas town in 2. This also added one of my favorite keyblades in the game. But going through the Disney worlds in 2 feels "empty" at some points in the game. There are long stretches where there isn't much kingdom hearts plot going on and it wears on you a bit. Luckily the amazing combat hides a lot of the problems I have with Disney worlds in kh2 feeling a little bit slow. Kingdom hearts 3: okay so I'm going to preface this by saying I love kingdom hearts 3. I wasn't disappointed in the story at all but I did still have some issues. This is kind of the same sentiment I have with all kingdom hearts games. They are all really fun and take you on amazing journeys. Now, I can understand some people not liking kingdom hearts 3 for certain elements but I don't believe that the Disney worlds should be included in those problems. This game does a great job at making every world feel relevant by placing organization XIII members in different worlds and also starting us out with the mysterious black box and maleficent?! That was a pretty dope little tie in. Toy box is the best new world in my opinion and they really start you off with it. The conversations with young xehanort and the intro showing yozora was incredible. I remember first getting there and I was like "is square Enix really trying to place an ad in my game to force me to spend more money" haha but the worlds get pretty good later on with monsters inc and vanitas, corona and Marluxia, frozen and larxene (frozen is designed poorly but I did enjoy the parallels between Anna and Elsa/Sora and Riku), San fransokyo and dark Riku, and Luxord in pirates of the Caribbean was brilliant. He fits so well in that world. Now my one flaw with these is I wish we got to fight these bosses in these worlds as a preview to the war we were getting into in the endgame. All in all I think that all of the Disney worlds do a great job at developing soras character throughout all of the games, but I believe that kingdom hearts 2 is probably the weakest in terms of plot relevance and just interest in general. Now that's not to say I don't enjoy those worlds in kingdom hearts 2 because I love that game, I just feel that in comparison, it's weaker than 1 and 3. I also think that the first entry in the series does a good job at tying the final fantasy-ish/Disney worlds together. Kingdom hearts 3 does a great job at showing how organization XIII is trying to develop an understanding of how hearts work in other worlds and how it can bolster their power. What do you guys think? If you feel differently just let me know. And I'm also sorry if some of the writing is a little funky. I just finished a few of my finals and my brain is a little jumbled but I'll be happy to have a discussion in the replies. Thanks guys! [link] [comments]
Next game better have a limit with Donald that's literally just Zettaflare. Posted: 03 Aug 2021 07:35 AM PDT Just destroys all enemies that are caught in it. Costs all of Sora's MP and also costs Donald his life but that's just a minor set back. [link] [comments]

Interesting fact: Sora and Terra are the only characters who faced the Real Master Xehanort. Posted: 03 Aug 2021 10:16 AM PDT Interesting that the two characters who failed the exam are the only ones who fought the real Master Xehanort, meanwhile the other main characters only fought his other variations. I'm not talking about the fights in story cutscenes or cinematic cutscenes, I'm talking about fighting during gameplay with HP bar, etc, (also in Re:mind they all fought the 13 replicas version of Xehanort, just wanted to at least mention that.)

Kh2 was when the "Kairi is useless" thing really begun. Posted: 03 Aug 2021 01:36 PM PDT I really like KH2 is with the other numbered names as my favorite games in the series, but in thus game was when the hole problem started. She is important fir the prolonged and epilogue, but between that she didn't have much to really do. The epilog is ver sweet with her still lingering on to Sora, even remembering his name, even with Namine's magic making everyone forget about him. But after 5hat Kairi herself just got tossed around like a ping pong to meet the twilight town gang and going kidnapped by Axel. I genuinely forgot she has been kidnapped when Axel sacrificed himself. Se got saved by Namine, then by Riku andvgets a keyblade to never do anything relevant with it. Her best moment in that time is reunite Sora and Riku. She is literally shoved away with Mickey from the final boss. Then in the epilog they find her bottle and manage to escape from the realm of darkness, wich is a nice ending. Between the epilog and prolonged her presence holds very little weight. They even forgot about her having a keyblade in DDD. The story if this game was so great for Sora and Riku, but Kairi got the shirt end of the stick. [link] [comments]
[KH2][KH3][KHUX] Theory: Ava is the reason for Org members 9-13. Posted: 03 Aug 2021 09:39 PM PDT We know Xigbar was the one who recruited Larxene and Marluxia based on the extra scenes in KH2FM and we also know Xigbar is Luxu, though whether or not he gets to view and/or retain the memories of his host bodies is unknown. If he does, then he could have used Brain's memories of Lauriam and Elrena to have them manifest in Enchanted Dominion and Dwarf Woodlands as he was "scouting for new recruits" for Org13. If he doesn't, then nobody else would remember them in the current timeline seeing as Skuld is an amnesiac and her whereabouts are unknown. My theory is that Ava's memories of the union leaders are what brought them into the current timeline and that purposely excluding her from the reunion of foretellers at the end of KH3 is indicative of another side to this story that has yet to be told - Ava's perspective. With Ephemer never really time travelling, Stretlitzia dead and Brain being "recalled" to Scala already, Ava would only be able to bring Lauriam and Skuld into the current epoch as the 5 union leaders MoM wanted to use as sacrifices to house 5 of the 13 darknesses. Lauriam himself would be able to recall Elrena and Ventus, bringing them in at around the same time, though what the mediums were - the equivalent to Brain's hat - is a mystery. That, or Ava remembers all of the Dandelions (she did recruit them after all) and filled in the blanks with whoever she thought were best in slot; using their experience as dandelions "reliving their lives" as lux-harvesters to manifest them in the worlds they left an impression on the most acting as the required medium. This might go on to explain why Lauriam and Elrena wake up in different locations, because Ava went from world to world to accomplish this, as well as Ventus who arrives last and is approached by an unknown figure, possibly Ava or Luxu. Chances are Demyx and Luxord were also part of Ava's unseen side of the story, possibly as leading members of her union that fought in the war (Emdy and Uldor are my headcanon for now); their connection to the original conflict between unions - this ancient keyblade secret - might be why they were sought out before the three dandelions. Whether they were recalled by Ava or Luxu who was watching the whole thing unfold is another matter altogether as we don't know what happened at the end of the original war. It's even possible that they accompanied Ava into the future and that's how Luxu/Xigbar got to them before the others, although that's pure conjecture. It could also be that, with Skuld not being able to call upon her keyblade because of her lost memories, Ava asked Lauriam if anybody could fill in that spot and he thought of Elrena. Regardless of how it happened, it couldn't have happened without Ava; that's what I'm trying to say. Luxu could confirm the Ark was used and that Epehemer and Brain cannot be brought here so Ava would have to make do with others. That just leaves us with the question of how Ava gets into the BBS-era in the first place but you could chalk that up to Luxu using a similar method to bring her forward in time and have her fulfil her own mission of bringing these important pieces of the prophecised keyblade war into the appropriate era. This is probably how the foretellers came back as well; Luxu's memories of them resonating with either their fallen keyblades or the impact of the war itself on the world acting as the medium. Due to Ava having an important role to play in gathering the Dandelions and assigning five to lead the new unions (as sacrifices), bringing her back first to ensure she could procure those five would make the most sense for Luxu who pretty much acts as an anchor point for them all and can bring back the other foretellers whenever he wants. As to why she's not around now... who knows? But I can't imagine anybody more appropriate for acting as a temporal anchor than the very person whose job it was to gather up the dandelions and send them into a new world. Not only that, but the fact that they were all brought into an era where Xehanort was preparing his 13 vessels? It's too sus. With the prophecy fulfilled and 5 of those 13 sacrifices human again, Luxu bringing back the other Foretellers now makes more sense. Assuming Ava returns they have 11 of 13. Assuming Superbia is not MoM (because he said he was leaving this world for a fictional one so it wouldn't make sense for him to count himself among "the seven") but a hypothetical original apprentice, that's 12 of 13; the reason why this apprentice is in the box is because they're already housing one of those 13 darknesses and they're the proof of concept MoM has for this plan to actually work. Then there's that thing with the 13th being locked away in data or something so we're at 12/12 and waiting for the next game to release where this important B-side should be revealed. Trust me, my dad works at Nintendo. tl;dr: Ava and Luxu were in cahoots to complete the 13 darknesses as per MoM's plan, which is why Demyx, Luxord, Lauriam, Elrena and Ventus were summoned to the current era. What do you think is the most interesting Kingdom Hearts original world? Posted: 03 Aug 2021 05:45 PM PDT I refrained using "best" because I'm not necessarily talking about which is the most enjoyable in terms of gameplay, though you can certainly take that into account if you want. But overall - design, lore/story, history, relation to other worlds and characters, etc What KH original world takes the cake for you? I'd put a poll if I could figure out how lol. Off the top of my head, the most prominent ones would be... Destiny Islands Traverse Town Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden End of the World Twilight Town Land of Departure/Castle Oblivion The World That Never Was Keyblade Graveyard Scala ad Caelum Quadratum Am I forgetting any? I know there are some new ones in the mobile games like Daybreak Town, but don't really have the means for those, unfortunately [link] [comments]

[RECOM] What cards should I be farming for? Posted: 03 Aug 2021 11:57 PM PDT I'm on agrabah level 6 and I've about 1400 MP. My deck obliterates most things ATM. What kind of cards should I be farming for? 9 costs? More fire/blizzard? My deck slaps and I feel it's useless to get more cards. [link] [comments]
