- I find it hilarious that Riku's artwork from CoM depicts him holding blue cards, since as we all know, Riku never gets the chance to use a magic card on his playthrough

Why do people not like ReCoded? Posted: 21 Feb 2022 08:38 AM PST I've been playing through recoded again and all that I've been thinking is how people relentlessly hate this game, but why? I know it has a filler story, but other than that it's game play is creative and really fun. It's stat matrix (level up mechanic) is personally, the best in the series. Secrets are plentiful and worlds have interesting ways of changing things up, like Olympus colosseum making it a turn based rpg. So why do people vehemently say this is the worst game? In my opinion it's at least in the top 5 maybe even top 3 KH games. [link] [comments]

What's a piece of KH Merchandise that doesn't exist yet but you would want? Posted: 21 Feb 2022 08:53 AM PST Honestly I've just been really into Game & watch consoles and tamagotchis lately and it got me thinking I would love a Gummiphone as a little handheld console. Does anyone else have ideas or thoughts like this? [link] [comments]
What “is” Sora in this series? Posted: 21 Feb 2022 09:03 AM PST I apologize for what more likely just going to be me rambling for a bit as I try to put my thoughts to "paper" per se. Mind you that I ask these questions and everything with all the love and just wanting to open a discussion with others. So on to the questions I guess. As the title points out I'm curious as to what Sora is in the series. What he was prior, to what they changed him into, to what he appeared to be throughout the series. I'll try to go in order from what I remember.
I ask this because in the first game it is showed that no he is not. The original chosen was Riku, but was given the "key" because he was close and had some of the qualities. So throughout the game he was just lucky, but grew his skills throughout the game. Later games it showed that Sora is important because he "needs" to learn the power of awakening. Not only that, but after the circumstances of the series HE becomes the one who has to do everything. (That could potentially be because he is the player character). So originally it was written as if there was potentially only 3* Keys period and then they "choose" their wielder. Later we learn that nearly anyone can be a wielder.
So we eventually learn that those areas are people's actual "hearts" to an extent. We learn it's when people come close to death and it happens when something important is about to happen. If he wasn't special then why is he here? He wasn't chosen by the Key yet and doesn't know anything specific yet. At this point he is also hearing a voice that helps guide him. I know my Ultimania and interviews say that it is Mickey speaking to him, but that doesn't fit quite right. As of now he is just a kid so why would he talk to him (actively across worlds and potentially across dimensions) at all? Along with those weird words, why is he seeing other people's hearts in his "dive?" Which leads me to my next question.
As it say, Sora has a very interesting ability to connect his heart with others. Early on it just seems like normal "hi nice to meet you connections", but later it altered people's memories. It was a plot point that he affects others and in later games he says he can even tell when the connection has grown "weaker". Along with that he seems to be able to reach out to other's hearts to hold, heal, or talk to them. So much so he was able to do this at his "birth" potentially. Which also could have heavily influenced his very soul and personality. Again I apologize for the long post. I just wanted to get this out of my head and I fully expect to heat from my thoughts or just be completely ignored. To those who stuck around, what do you think? I'd love to hear any discussions.
