KH fans who didnt start with 1 or 2: what made you stick around and say “yeah, thats my kind of crazy”?

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 08:56 PM PDT

I started with chain of memories. My childhood friend who is basically Riku to me, pretended he knew everything about it when I got the game boy game. It was another way for him and I to grow close, and we would play pretend about it all the time. When I realize that there was a lot more to it emotional-wise, it really grabbed hold of me. Clearly, both irl and in the code. My Riku friend left one day and the other games kept up with who i was and becoming as a person. It feels so silly to say a game had so much impact on my life, but ill always like the series for that.

KH things the fandom ignores like all fandoms do

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:55 PM PDT

All fandoms have things that are cannon that the entire fandom just silently agree to ignore no matter what the creators say or do. I was thinking about this recently and I wondered what are the KH things we all just universally choose to ignore?

Like how in the HP fandom, everyone just collectively hates the Cursed Child and doesnt really include it in the cannon, or how the entirity of the ancient Rome fandom ignores how those beautiful white statues used to be nightmare fule when painted dont show them anywhere painted and ect

KH definitely ignores how they say Luxords name, like we were all just like, 'Oh heck no'

    What else is there?

    Model Swapping

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 06:54 PM PDT

Do any of you know if it would be possible to swap the KH3 model of Sora to the KH2 one that we get to use during Olympus? I think it would be amazing to be able to beat the game as my favorite version of Sora, even if cutscenes would probably have the games version or bug out.

How do you think they will help to differentiate Roxas and Ventus visually going forward?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:13 AM PDT

I personally feel they have done an excellent job differentiating them personality wise like no one would mistake Ven and Roxas there. The fact that we now have two characters who look exactly the same and no one in the fandom is being like 'they're basically the same!' is a great feat!

But i am really interested to see how they are gonna give them each their own visual characteristics too. Like right now they still have the small details that tied them togther in their clothes (checkers, black and white colors) and of course their looks. So I am really excited for either Roxas or even both of them to grow into their own visually.

What do you think they'll do?

I personally think itd be cool for Roxas to decide to grow his hair out long like Axels but after it gets too long he decides he wants it out of the way and puts it in like a pony tail or something. Though that look could be pretty polarizing XD I'm interested to see what colors he'll go for now that he can dress himself

Is the reason some people don't like Xion cause they never played Days?

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 05:05 AM PDT

So yeah I saw a few people who don't like Xion as well as the whole Xion who meme and I asked myself why since Xion never really did anything to not be liked.

Then I realised is probably cause they never played Days like during the game you really grow attached to Xion and then the ending really impacts you hard emotionally. Even though you have the cut scenes for the game in 1.5 you simply won't get as attached to Xion like in days where you are experiencing Roxas's time in the organisation and really see how him, Xion and Axel bond over course of the game.

Makes me glad I picked up the game years ago since I got to fully experience Roxas and Xion's stories.

I Made a Concept Battle Theme for Kingdom Hearts 4 and thought I could share it here :)

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 10:16 AM PDT

So KH3D might be my fav in the franchise.

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:31 AM PDT

I down own a PS4, and even if I did I want it on the 3ds. For one reason, it's portable. I love the fact I can close it in a middle of a boss fight, watch a video, eat something. Then come back and die from the boss. But the best thing is that I am surprised by it. I wasn't expecting it to play this good. I didn't really like BBS command deck for one reason, melding and leveling your spells and abilities. Idk why that was a problem for me. But the world's are surprisingly detailed. And done well. People say these world choices are pretty weak but man, I love going through trons legacy world, or helping quasimodo. Combat isn't floaty, feels nice to hit peeps with the blade of keys. Something I noticed is that riku's story is darker than sora and I like that. You can call that edgy but I want Riku to have more character development. Its just a fun game. While right now I haven't beaten it yet, still on monstro. It can tell I will play critical on this.

    Hello KH community

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 10:40 PM PDT

I'd be lying if I were to say I was a fan of the games personally, but don't worry, I'm not here to rag on them or anything. I only have a simple question. Thankfully, it isn't one of the banned topics, it's just one I've had very recently. I've started replaying the Zelda series, and much like Kingdom Hearts, LoZ has a lore that I've always been interested in, even if I haven't been a huge fan, and I got to thinking if Simon Belmont could defeat Ganondorf. I eventually came to the conclusion he could, as the Vampire Killer is a weapon not just against vampires, but against demonic forces in general.

Now, you might be wondering how this relates to Kingdom Hearts. Well, I got to wondering something else immediately after. That something is, could Sora and the Keyblade defeat Ganondorf? The reason I ask this, is because the only weapons that can defeat him are holy weapons. Normal ones can hurt him, but again, holy weapons like the Master Sword and Vampire Killer can finish the job.

I bring this question to you, because I'm no expert on the lore, and thus can't come to a conclusion. Now, I know that the LoZ universe and KH universe are apples and oranges, but my understanding is that the Keyblade is the weapon to use against darkness. But again, I am an outsider to the series, so I present this question to you, the people who know and understand, this lore much better than I: Does the Keyblade meet the criteria needed to defeat Ganondorf? And if so, could Sora, or any Keyblade wielder, defeat him?

Official name of Mickey's new keyblade!

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:15 AM PDT

We may finally know the official name for Mickey's new keyblade!

Square Enix have put a keychain accessory of Mickey's new keyblade for sale on their store.

Here they have named Mickey's new keyblade "Star Cluster"!

Previously we only knew it as "Kingdom Key W" as seen in the Ultimania.

Now the question is, does this keyblade have two different names, or was "Kingdom key W" just a placeholder name?
