    After over 15 years, I finally did it.

    I finally beat KH1.

    When I was a kid, I got stuck on the last Riku fight. Every time I'd get him low, he's use his DM and insta-kill me. I even had the Prima Strategy Guide, which of course wasn't any help. I managed to beat KH2 when it came out, but I never finished KH1.

    Last week, I got a PS4 for cheap, and I bought the Kingdom Hearts collection to fulfill my nostalgia. I died to Ursula probably a dozen times... but I only died to Riku three times. Didn't die to Ansem at all (Aero OP plz nerf).

    It's not much, but I'm excited that I finally beat the game I couldn't beat in 2004.

    I find it weird how everyone in this sub complains about the grind for Ultima Weapon on KH1

    That's literally what I loved about KHFM, worldhopping and farming new heartless. Mushroom XIII on KHIIFM was boring for me.

    I might be biased but I feel like KH1 inherently feels more fun than any other title. Even the grinds are exciting, Sniper Wilds had me on the edge of my seat whereas half of the mushrooms just made me consider watching the secret trailer on YouTube and skipping straight to BBS.

    I immediately think of either how they did Kairi dirty, or the pacing issue. I'd probably opt for Kairi to be fixed in the end because we've waited so long for her to finally get to shine. Bad pacing (while it's never been as bad as KH3) has been apart of the series since Chain of Memories. The only games I thought were paced well were KH1 and maybe BBS.

    Is it just me or is this section baaaaaaadddd? It's legit killing my interest in the game. I recently brought the Kingdom Hearts collection with the intent of getting into the franchise. I played 2 as a kid but I never beat it and barely remember it. Part of me just wants to skip 1, but I was wondering if this is the only bad map? I enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland section.
