    So Does Sora pretty much exist in non existence? I've heard he ended up in shibuya.. which insinuates that it is possible to make it back home?

    Why are the FF elements being downplayed as the series progressed?

    In the earlier games, they were very important to the plot. Sora even gained some moves from them like Sonic Blade from Cloud and Strike Raid from Yuffie. Some of KH's most iconic moments involved them like the battle of Radient Garden and the Sephiroth fights.

    Some KH characters are even inspired by the ones from FF like Axel=Reno

    After KH2, their roles gotten smaller and smaller to the point that they didn't even appear in KH3. They did appear in the DLC expansion but it's only for short scenes.

    It's very jarring not seeing them showing up when Radient Garden appeared in some cutscenes in KH3. Cid could have helped Ansem's gang with the science stuff needed to help Sora and co. It would have been cool seeing Squall's gang help fight off the heartless in the Keyblade Graveyard to allow the Guardians of Light to face off against the Seekers like how Sora helped them in the battle of Radient Garden.

    The downplaying of the FF elements is really frustrating since FF is the reason KH even exists. I heard that the downplaying of the FF elements is due to Nomura being salty of Versus XIII(Yozora's existence says it all) but it's just a rumor and not confirmation.

    The only thing I can think of is Maleficent and Pete entering the Disney Castle in DDD when KH2 said that couldn't due to the cornerstone of light.
