    It's been about 8/9 months since KH3 came out and I feel like that's plenty of time to think about a game. I got the platinum trophy about two weeks ago. The reason I didn't get it 8/9 months ago was because the game got boring and I had lost motivation to play it.

    This is why it was boring for me.

    From the beginning to the end of Keyblade Graveyard was epic.

    My problem starts with Scala ad Caelum. In particular, the final boss battles. They were lackluster to say the least.

    KH1 and KH2 had such epic final boss battles it was unbelievable.

    Kingdom Hearts 1

    You find Ansem

    You fight Darkside

    You fight Ansem solo

    And then you get transported to the fucking abyss with this humanoid ship hybrid thing with Ansem attached it to it like a fetus. My god, I've played through this game so many times and I don't remember the exact sequence of things. I know you have to go into some portals to destroy some floating orbs AFTER you destroy a wave of heartless.

    At some point the ships dick starts acting up and you have to go to its magic bellend that has lightning shooting off around it and fight that.

    And then, finally, once you've reclaimed Donald and Goofy, you finish Ansem once and for all.

    Kingdom Hearts 2

    The first thing you do is you SLICE THROUGH SOME FUCKING BUILDINGS.

    And then as Xehanort is dropping buildings on you you have to destroy those things flanking Blue Eyes White Dragon

    Then you fight a battery

    Then you fight an armoured Xehanort that is sitting on a throne with his fucking dick in his hand, and all he does is slap you with it.

    After you destroy Dick Slapping Xehanort, you think it's over...

    FUCK THAT. XEHANORT CASTS MONSTER REBORN. And now you have to face Blue Eyes White Dragon, but with lasers.

    After you proceed to fuck up Blue Eyes, it fucking LOSES it and starts thrashing around like a BBW, and now it's bigger.

    Not only must you fight Armoured Xehanort and Blue Eyes, but you must also be forcefully slapped back into the realms anus.

    After you deal with that shit, Xehanort is dressed like a zebra, looking extra naughty. AND HE THROWS A BUNCH OF LIGHTSABERS AT YOU. BUT SORA AND RIKU ARE SO FUCKING BADASS THAT THEY DEFLECT ALL OF THAT SHIT.

    KH2 had one of the most satisfying endings to a game I've ever seen.

    now...

    Kingdom Hearts 3

    You fight 13 dudes (I think it's 13, I never bothered to count.)

    Then you fight a goat

    Then you fight a goat underwater

    Then you fight a goat in the air

    Then you fight a bald dude on a platform

    Then you fight the same bald dude on an elevated platform.

    ...The end...

    They had this beautiful world to work with and they sort of wasted it. Scala ad Caelum is easily one of the most impressive final battle worlds ever, and some much could've happened there. Hopefully it's fixed in the DLC.

    Also, one more thing that annoyed me:

    The limited number of combo modifiers we got. The combo we saw in the trailers was all we got. No more and no less.

    Whatever. Shit happens. I still like Kingdom Hearts, though.

    The orchestra in Dallas has just finished when I write this. Unfortunately I could not make it to the event :( from what I can tell, it is an AMAZING experience, especially for a musician. I would love every second of it.

    Hello Everyone,

    On November 2nd, at 12PM Eastern Time, myself and one of co-workers are participating in a fundraising event for extra life, and will be streaming for 24 hours. Both of us will be doing a KHIII critical mode level 1 playthrough. We decided to make it even more challenging for ourselves by making up house rules to not use attraction flow (aside from the required spots in the game), and no food consumption.
