    I love KH3 so much

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 02:24 PM PST

This isn't a rant or anything like that, i'm just saying this because i love this game so much that i can't keep it outside of my head, i think the reason i'm doing this is because i just want to talk about my favorite moments or something like that.

Even after months of not playing the game (i'm just waiting for Re:Mind so i can do everything at once, don't get the wrong idea, i do this for almost every game), i keep thinking about it because of how great it was (keep in mind that this never happened to me before, i always keep buying games, beat them and try to do every content, then i give my opinion and that's it, i move onto the next one).

I remember how epic the battles were, how great and fun the gameplay was, how great the story was and how it had a nice balance between wrapping some things up and leaving unsolved mysteries so we can think about what's going to happen next, the music was great too, etc.

I also love the graphics, in fact, i think they are the best graphics i've ever saw in a videogame, instead of having the boring and colorless realistic look that a lot of games have now, it managed to be both realistic BUT with his own style which is also full of life (colors).

In fact, whenever i see a new game that has the same realistic graphics, i just think they look boring and unoriginal, i mean don't get me wrong, i still get hyped for them (if i'm interested of course), i just think that they should have their own style instead of trying to be realistic every time (or at least put some colors in them...).

I already did 2 posts praising the game, however, like i said...i can't keep the game out of my head, because it was that great and unique to me, especially after the big disappointments that GoW and RDR2 were, i was glad that i played a great game after those ones.

By this post you can already guess how hyped i am for Re:Mind (i already did a post about that lmao).

Now, don't get me wrong, this post doesn't mean that i didn't like the other games, on the contrary...i love EVERY KH game (except Coded...), KH3 is just my favorite (Don't try to start an argument please, this is just a praise post from someone that loved the game).

Soooo, with all of that said, what were your favorite moments of the game???

    Re:CoM megaflare OP

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:33 PM PST

So I'm finally going for the platinum on Re:Com, and since I spent a lot of extra time on the way up fighting to get enemy cards, I got level 57 (and megaflare) before I even hit Hollow Bastion. In my previous playthrough, I beat Marluxia at something like level 50, and didn't pay much attention in the post game. So imagine my surprise to discover a slight that allows me to one-shot entire rooms of enemies on ANY floor....

How to get the other characters involved in the story more

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:18 PM PST

I love KH3, but one problem I think it has is how it seems like Sora, Donald, and Goofy are the only ones thar get to shine. Riku and Mickey get thrown around by Heartless in the Realm of Darkness and get saved by Sora, There main objective was to save Aqua who ends up being saved by Sora, I can accept that Sora saves Ven I mean that's how it should happen, Axel's goal was to bring his friends back, yet Sora was the one who did it, Aqua and Ven wanted to bring Terra back, but needed Sora to do it.

I think the only person who actually lends Sora a hand funnily enough is Kairi, but even then it's really just a repeat of what we've seen to do in the past and in the end Sora has to save her.

I think at least one of the original characters needs to tag along in every disney world. It would help the story so much and help Sora's relationships with all of these characters grow. I'll provide some examples.

Kingdom of Corona: Imagine if Kairi tagged along in this world. Just replace all of the scenes of Sora and Rapunzel having fun with Sora and Kairi and their relationship becomes so much better. I honestly do like Sokai, but we really haven't seen them just having fun together since KH1. It always seems like they only get to talk when the situation is looking grim. The romantic feel that this world already has would allow them to play off each other so much more.

Arendelle: As pointed out by Sora, Riku and Elsa's stories of pushing away the people they care about to protect them are very similar. It could make this world which has a boring narrative as it is a lot more engaging.

San Fransokyo: I imagine Ven could tag along for this one. It seems to match his light hearted spirit and a Sora and Ven adventure with the two of them actually getting to interact could be cool.

The Caribbean: sigh I just really want Sora, Riku, and Kairi to live out their dream of sailing the seas together.

[KH3] What's one singular story decision you'd change?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:45 AM PST

Personally, I'd have given Riku the whole fight vs Aqua rather than have Sora jump in and finish it. Think Riku really deserved the whole bout.

I've never beaten kh1 all the way through before because it beat me silly when i was a kid. Now i'm grown and proud mode is messing me up. Was KH1 just always this hard?

(PS3 Kingdom Hearts 2.5) "Configuring Trophy Data"

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 08:22 PM PST

So on my path to 100% just about every Kingdom Hearts game, I finally made it to 2 and once I hit "New Game", select my difficulties, etc, it says "Configuring trophy data", Syncs to 100% and boots me back to the game select menu. The problem seems to only effect Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix as well, Birth By Sleep and Recoded work perfectly fine.

After some digging, I noticed others have had the same problem, too, and I'm curious is there any way to fix this.

    Things I tried:

    Offline mode for trophies

    Disconnecting from the internet

    Cleaning the disc

    Restarting the console

Rebuilding the database on the console restore menu

    Logging into a different profile

    Deleting system data

    Xehanort theory

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 11:51 PM PST

So, Xehanort minus the "x", is an anagram of "No Heart".

Is Xehanort the first ever "Nobody", possibly of the Master of Masters? And his slaying in KH3 is what has finally brought him back (ending of KH3 (MAYBE if it's him we actually see)).

Where did the whole naming convention of the adding an "x" into the persons name when they become a Nobody come about? I'm playing through Birth By Sleep currently and it just got me thinking.

What happened to parring attack being an optimal choice?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 11:48 AM PST

In KH1 there were many attacks you could better and it was better than guarding, Riku-Ansem, Captain Hook and even the ffx characters is an example of that.

In KH2 you can do that but it's not optimal when you have reflect

And i wouldn't even try testing this in BBS and DDD, must be hell and they probably didn't think about that

In KH3 is back but again it has no real use

In 0.2 the secret boss has one attack where it's optiomal to parry so i thought they would implement it more in KH3, guess not.

Hopefully Re: Mind has bosses where parrying an enemy attack is better, so maybe if you didn't have barrier you would need to parry an attack or dodge it carefully.
