    Completed KHFM, ReCOM and KH2FM so far. Just finished Days. Will start Birth By Sleep in a bit. But first, I'm gonna go cry in a corner.

    Finished KH1 for the 1st time. Fantastic Game. Its one thing seeing videos, but another thing playing it. Can't wait for KH2.

    Ansem the Wise/MoM parallels (KH3 spoilers)

    So I was thinking and I kind of noticed something interesting. There's quite a few parallels between Ansem the Wise and the Master of Masters.

    ​

    - Both had six apprentices: Ansem with Xehanort, Braig, Dilan, Even, Aeleus, and Ienzo, and MoM with Ava, Invi, Gula, Aced, Ira, and Luxu

    - Both were the leader of a world that fell to ruin and became a "different world": Ansem was the ruler of Radiant Garden, which fell to ruin and became Hollow Bastion. MoM seems like he was more or less the leader of Daybreak Town, which ended up turning upside down into water and becoming Scala ad Caelum

    - Both "vanished" from their apprentices:

    Mom: "Well... I might disappear one day..."

    Axel: "One day we're apprentices, the next Ansem the Wise has up and vanished..."

    - Both kind of have or had a "one-eyed" motif: MoM presumably only has one eye due to the fact that his eye is in the no name keyblade. In his "DiZ" persona, Ansem kept one of his eyes covered up with bandages and belts for... some reason... (coincidentally, the belts over DiZ's eye make an "X")

    - Both had one of their apprentices take on an "attribute" of theirs: With Ansem, Xehanort ended up taking on his name and becoming Ansem Seeker of Darkness. With MoM, Luxu/Xigbar ended up losing his eye to Terra and taking on that "one-eyed" motif.

    - Both hide/hid their appearances from everyone: MoM obviously hides his face under his coat hood and we've yet to see his face. When Ansem was first introduced as "DiZ", he kept most of his face hidden beneath bandages, and his face wasn't revealed until nearly the end of KH2.

    - Both were the cause of a great catastrophe: Ansem's experiments and research into the heart ended up leading to the Heartless being unleashed on the world ("You are the source of ALL Heartless"). MoM's manipulation of his apprentices and those who served in their unions led to the war that destroyed the world.

    Now I don't know if this means anything or if it was even intentional. But I thought it was kind of interesting. (And no, I'm not suggesting that Ansem the Wise and the Master of Masters are the same person)

    Why Ice Cream Beat is a terrible rhythm game

    The idea behind this type of game is to listen to beat, have that beat replayed and then press in the exact same way. It doesn't work when the song just continues to play and sounds completely different to what you just listened to. Not to mention the fact that it will tell you to listen to something and before it even finishes the string of notes you are supposed to follow. It asks you to start playing. It would be ok if the visual aid was accurate but it isn't. Pressing A when the circle enclosed around the button is finicky. So, you are forced to have to memorize what you did rather than what the game shows you to do. Some songs are incredibly long, and you have to play almost perfectly in order to get an excellent rating. It's not a "fun" challenge. It's frustratingly tedious and I feel like pulling out my hair listening to those three f***** stupid little s**** telling me to "follow the beat."
