    KHX and why I think it damages the franchise

    I'll preface this by saying I have completed the console games, and have myself got well into the mobile game, up to mission 800 or something and that this isn't a hate post on the mobile game (MG from here) itself.

    My issue with the mobile game stems from it having some of THE most important lore about the KH world itself. The story in KHX practically tells us why the KH world is the way it is, and has some amazing characters in it. The games story plays out like a fun mystery that links up with different parts of the Console series (CS from here on out) that keeps you engrossed on what will happen next. It's honestly like reading a book that gets constant updates and that's what keeps you invested.

    The story in KHX, is too good to be just on mobile.

    So why does this damage the CS? because it is constantly updating itself, it adds to each of the CS stories in a way that makes them clearer and more in-depth... it does this the "worst" for KH3. ALOT of the plot in KH3, revolves around alot of the 800-1000 missions in the MG which alot of casual players will struggle to get to as the medals needed to beat even the harder ended 800 missions need to be Ultima level strength (but we all know the majority are just waiting for our best pal Everglow to upload). In the most recent episodes, we learn more about how Malificient is so powerful and learnt alot about Strelitiza and Marluxia. Which brings me onto my next point... Strelitzia and the guardian theory that has sprouted from this newest episode. There is only one other person in the CS that has been able to use a "summon" in combat, and that is Terranort. Xemnas doesn't even have the ability to summon Guardian. Marluxia on the other hand, has his own summon in KHCOM (that he convieniently forgot how to use in 3) that NO other Org member is capable of. In KHX, Strels last words to Marl are about how she will be his vanguard, and he joked she will carry him and her last appearance is that of a white robed figure with a shaded face to hid her face. Now when you look at Marluxias guardian in KHCOM... it's VERY similar to Strel herself... even down to the flowing red ribbons on the 1st form of the guardian (the one he rides).

    The more that KHX updates and the CS stagnates, the worse things become in terms of lore... which is evident in KH3. Unless you are outright told the importance of the original "secret" boss or whatever the fuck cirithy is or how it relates to Ven, you would NEVER know. The back cover movie doesn't explain ANY of this, especially not with the case of Ventus and his importance in the role of X (which btw is pretty big at this point) and how Cirithy even knows him. The handheld versions of the games are one thing, they are at least contained on that console and even then got ported to PS3/XBOX and PS4 later on as a FULL package. We will never get that with KHX and it has such important context within itself that unless you want to spend HOURS online watching videos on the cutscenes... you are missing this information and will be left behind.

    I don't know about you guys, but personally... I am tired of having to look up outside sources to understand some context in a KH game because they hid it in mission 1022 in a mobile game and I for one do not want to see this kind of issue going forward for KH4... Which On that note, KH4 could have just as easily been about Daybreak town and it's recovery or something to do with the new 5 masters... and instead we got "KH:VsXIII"

    Anyway, sorry for the long read and I understand if you don't read it all or only reply to one part but I do appreciate anyone who does survive this long to read it. Thank you :)
