    The up-res and combat improvements were jarring and almost didn't feel like KH, but was still fantastic. The difference between the earlier games and this tech demo is nuts.. My fifteen year wait for 3 came to a close yesterday and man, oh man...

    Hey y'all, first time playing the kh series, and I just finished kh2! Can I just say, that ending was amazing! It was the ultimate ending for me, one of the best ending in video game history. I'm so happy everyone is back together again. Can't wait for more, but I would be satisfied if it all just ended like that tbh. I'll get back to you guys once I finish the 358/2 Days movie.

    Kingdom Hearts 2 Ice Cream Theory

    I have a theory on what influenced the creation of the sea salt ice cream in KH2. I don't know if anyone else has ever brought this up, but I just realized this recently.

    In Japan, they have this ice cream called Garigari, it looks like the same color and shape as the sea salt icecream and even has a chance of having a "winner" on the stick, just like in the game. It's also very popular among kids in Japan, and the kids in Twilight town eat it. Also, as I was writing this post, I found out that sea salt ice cream existed before the game and this is where the influence came from, but I'm not sure what it looks like or if it has the "winner" thing on some of the sticks. I'm thinking that maybe both the GariGari and Disney icecreams influenced the creator to put it in the game.

    Ideas for changing up Kairi’s place in the KH narrative

    I played KH1 somewhat recently and noticed on how Kairi is mainly relegated to being a damsel in distress. I mean, she's like this for a lot of the series, but back then I think it made sense. Lots of Disney properties have this formula, for better or worse, and the story for that game is v much in the vein of a Disney-esque fairy tale. I think what I'm trying to say is, what would you do to take her out of this role post KH1? Sora and Riku have been afforded character growth in a way that she really hasn't, and by character growth I mean concrete character growth, not growth that gets taken away when the narrative calls for it. I always felt bad when I was younger for her because imo she's always been the most boring of the original trio.

    KH2 easier than I remember? Possible **SPOILERS**

    Finally getting around to my first play through of KH2FM and it feels a lot easier than I remember back when I originally played the ps2 version. Playing on proud mode currently, might try critical at some point. So basically the organization was really what challenged me as a kid. I remember it took me 2 hours to beat Xaldin and two days to beat Demyx. An Xigbar don't even get me started on him, still took me a few tries to beat him on my current play through. This time around however I beat Xaldin and Demyx first try with ease, and Saix was child's plays (glide lvl3 op). I guess younger just wasn't as good as adult me is now. What was your experience playing KH2FM for the first time vs the ps2 version?
