    My (theory) thoughts on Kairi, Master Ava, and Subject X

    So i think a lot of people made the original assumption that Subject X was Skuld until the recent Melody of Memory trailer when it looked like Kairi had some kind of connection to subject X, or at least something to do with Apprentice Xehanort's experiments. For context I haven't played the DLC of KH3 , so correct me if any of my details are off.

    I had some thoughts about the timeline of Kairi (as a child) living in the Radiant Garden castle, Subject X also being held captive, and Master Ava not being present at the Foretellers reunion at the end of KH3.

    I think the timeline goes like this:

    Subject X is being held captive inside the castle at Radiant Garden pre-BBS while Ansem and co. run tests on her -> Lea and Isa enjoy sneaking into the castle to talk to her and are planning to break her out -> Apprentice Xehanort/Terranort has some nasty experiments he intends to try on Subject X without Ansem's permission -> During BBS, Aqua meets Kairi, who is a mysterious young girl that supposedly lives at the same castle -> when the time comes for Lea and Isa to save Subject X, she's already been taken away (evidently only braig knows where he took her) -> a loooot later on, Ava is the only Foreteller missing from the reunion, and Braig/Xigbar/Luxu mades a snarky comment saying he already knew she wouldn't be there.

    The idea is that Ava could have found herself out of time and in Radiant Garden, as "subject X", after suffering through experimentation reversed in age or somehow became a child, adopted a new name, Kairi, and eventually escaped from the world when it was destroyed. Then maybe the reason Ava isnt available, is because Kairi is already out in the world and unaware of her Foreteller connections. I'm only wondering this because there's still a lot unknown about Kairi's past.

    Though reading a little more on Subject X, it seems less likely that she's Kairi considering the entry where Subject X says herself that years after the experimentation she still can't recall her name or past. It's more likely she has ties to some Dark Road characters we know nothing about yet. I just find it interesting that the last known appearance of Subject X happens canonically around the same time we meet Kairi for the first time.

    Sorry for the long post. But I wonder if you guys have any thoughts?
