    I finally 100% completed Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It took me 101 hours, quite possibly the most time I’ve spent on a Kingdom Hearts game.

    For the first time in my life I replayed KHII while actually remembering what happens in the Hercules movie. With that knowledge, and all the implications that KH takes place after Hercules, Megara's introduction to Sora in KHII suddenly becomes pretty dang adorable.

    I love Data Greeting/Photo Mode and I hope that future installments expand on camera functionality and visual effects options. Top in game with the high contrast filter, bottom edited in Photoshop

    As stated in the title. I am in awe of the whole experience and this comes after buying the two collections back in March and playing through everything in them plus watching plot summaries of all the mobile titles up to and including the September 2020 updates. I loved KH3, I can understand the criticisms of it from some fans but I think it was a wonderful evolution of the series and am really eager to see where it goes now plot-wise.

    The plot? Man, my head was spinning by the end of Remind. There were a few subplots that came into being and feed nicely into whatever is next:

    Nameless Star I've seen a couple of theories about who this is. Streiletzia (sorry for the spelling) was one and the girl from the Verum Rex trailer being the other. I'm not convinced on Streiletzia, the whole spiel about being erased doesn't marry up with her just plain being killed. Her talk of pining for someone doesn't make me think of a brother and sister but rather a lover. Finally, her talk of whomever the guy is being changed etc. doesn't make sense as she wouldn't have known about Lauriam becoming Marluxia on account of being dead.

    Subject X This one has a couple of favourites: Ava and Skuld. I did initially lean towards Ava purely because of Luxu springing her from the brig. The age argument is meaningless as you can't discern either Ava or Skuld's age and the hair colour argument would hold more water if at any point you ever see Ava's hair but you don't. They both had four friends and a key (I don't think Ava classed Luxu as a friend), both used the May your Heart mantra and both came from the Age of Fairy Tales. That said: the secret report does state Subject X escaped another world to come to this one (paraphrasing) which leans more towards Skuld and meshes nicely with the fact that other Dandelions (Lauriam, Elrena, Ventus) are wondering about (And Ephemer is also seen as a spirit). I don't know about this one.

    Darkness This one is a mystery. It has obviously used Ventus as a ride before when it killed Streiletzia and Sora meets it in Ventus' heart when he does his string of heart dives. Whomever or whatever Darkness is, it comes from the Age of Fairy Tales also and followed the Dandelions into the "safe" worldline. The fact that Darkness was active while Vanitas was still separate from Ventus eliminates Vanitas as Darkness' true identity.

    Overall: I really enjoyed KH3. I wish that there had been a Back Cover-style summary for KH Chi, Unchained, Union X and Dark Road as a whole but I understand it was still ongoing. I am still confused about a lot of the plot but excited to see where it goes.
