    For me, it was one single line, but when put in context with the rest of the series, really sums up one single character's miserable existence.

    "You were never supposed to exist, Roxas."

    Imagine you're Roxas for a second. Imagine if over the course of a week, everything you know is slowly turning out to be one cruel prank, and that the life you lead is a total illusion. Then you start to remember the life you did have, and that wasn't any better than what you had before.

    Then you start realizing the other miserable aspects of Roxas' life. The boy started out as a literal emotionless husk, only slowly opening up and learning what it meant to be human over the course of nearly a year thanks to two good friends. One of them is slowly drifting away, the other is literally trying to commit suicide via cop/keyblade wielder, and you're the trigger.

    And all that you've earned at the end? You're just meant to fade away back into your "true self", never allowed to be "you" ever again.

    Yeah I know, KH3 made things happier, but Jesus H. Christ, 90% of Roxas' life has literally been one massive lump of emotional trauma.

    It was my favorite thing in high school & now I can't for the life of me remember the name. It was alternate universe in a small college town, Roxas had major depression and his roommate was Zexion. Roxas was in love with Axel who was a little bit older and did lots of meth and slept with older men to combat childhood trauma. There's a house off campus that's a party pad, where Hayner is a rich kid who supplies kids with substances and stuff to do. The whole thing is from my memory really melodramatic and romanticizes depression and handling trauma in unhealthy ways, and the whole thing is Axel keeping Roxas at arms length until Roxas takes Axel home to meet his best friend Sora, who has schitszophrenia (and Kingdom Hearts lore is all his halucinations.) Sora has a super unhealthy and overly sexual relationship with Riku, and if I remember right, Riku keeps cheating on him with Roxas who has an existential crisis about it and Sora's okay with it because he has unhealthy boundaries. The conclusion of the story is Roxas and Axel finally sleep together and agree to be a couple.

    I may be wrong on this, but I think the title is three words "A something something" "My something something" maybe. This would have been around 2010.

    I followed the author on twitter and she was facing charges for something atrocious, describing this story now, and seeing how wildly unhealthy this all was, I totally think she did it.

    BUT! She made a playlist in a post on a chapter, and I'm struggling to find this ONE SPECIFIC SONG I loved, so I'm going through great measures to try to find it.

    Anyone else ever think about Xigbar and Luxord's elements - Space and Time respectively - being related?

    Each Original Org Member has a particular element they control. Some are simple, like Axel uses fire, Vexen uses ice, Demyx uses water etc. Some are more abstract, like Xemnas using nothingness.

    But peculiarly Xigbar uses space and Luxord uses time. Space and Time are considered fundamental aspects of our reality, giving rise to such concepts of spacetime. I won't get into Physics, Classical or Quantum in this post, but I will say it's interesting that Xigbar and Luxord use elements that are something of a Yin and Yang - that is, things that seem diametrically opposed but in fact rely on each other for their existence.

    If I had to guess this symbolises their conflict over the Black Box and foreshadows the future. Luxord is gonna be important and may end up being Luxu's archenemy - unless my crack theory that Luxord is the MoM is true, though I believe that less and less every day.

    Anyone else have thoughts? Is it just me who thinks this? Am I nuts?

    Platinuming BBS FM is taking me forever

    I played KH1, KH2 and KH3 first as a play through to see how the games were.

    Then I decided to platinum every game in the series, and now I'm up to Birth by Sleep. I decided to do a Proud Run for the three characters (since it was my first play through and I wanted to get all the trophies bar critical which I'll do as a second run through. I want to 100% on critical but I may need to accept defeat in some cases, I don't know!)

    But, I'm finding it a much bigger game than the previous ones. I thought platinuming RE: Chain of Memories was long gaining all the cards, but completing the journal and the arena, and the command boards for all three characters is taking me forever!

    Is it just me? Or does anyone agree?

    Bad “Criticism” against Melody of Memory rant

    Some of the flak that this game gets is so pathetic. Some people are so quick to deem the game bad without even saying any valid points to back up their statements. I saw one comment (not on the sub) saying it's just like KH2's rhythm segment in Atlantis which is so obviously not the case when that segment can't even be compared to other popular rhythm games in terms of quality.

    Of course there's also the occasional "Nobody asked for this" line even though rhythm games are a little popular in Japan and a portion of the community here in the west have indeed asked for a KH themed rhythm game.

    The only valid arguments I've seen is not even entirely against the game itself. It's mostly against the pricing of the game which I agree with. $60 USD is a bit much IMO, but it is what it is. While I do like having part of the story being in the game as an added bonus, I have to admit. The decision to put that part of the story in a rhythm game is a little bit questionable. We'll see how it goes I guess.

    Honestly, I don't know why people had high expectations on a project that started development on the same year that it will release. Like seriously, what were they expecting? KH4?

    Leaks have already stated that 1 KH project, called Project OATH, is planned to be released/announced on 2022 which will be run on Unreal Engine 4 (the engine that KH3 was running on so it is speculated to be the title that comes before KH4 and will bridge the end of KH3 Re:Mind to that game as Nomura stated in the 13 questions of darkness interview) and 1 more KH project was leaked, but without a name. The latter is being speculated to be KH4 that will run on Unreal Engine 5 that was showcased months ago if the leaks prove to be true and so far, it has. My evidence is the recently announced FFXVI which was also part of the leaks and although it was called Project Sancta in the leaks, it's plenty obvious that FFXVI is none other than Project Sancta. It's the only other FF title, apart from Remake Part 2, that was leaked and it also looks to be running on Unreal Engine 5 and will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X as stated in the leaks.

    I don't really see why anyone would criticize a rhythm game, a game that is meant to be fun, very poorly. I honestly think some people are hating on the game just for the sake of hating. There's really not much I can say other than that.

    I thought once I got past his DM stage I was home clear, but then he did it AGAIN and then his mirror tower.

    needless to say, using forms/links REALLY saved me both times

    Kingdom hearts for switch

    I really want a real kingdom hearts on switch. I know that there's melody of memory but that's a rhythm game. At least please port kh1, kh2 or kh3 to switch. I've heard so much about this series so it would really be awesome to finally play it because I technically don't have a play station and the ds games apparently suck.
