FOOD FOR THOUGHT Sora’s “my friends are my power” got ramped up to an unhealthy degree now it’s “without my friends I’m powerless” in KH3 it feels as if Sora needs to be depended on like he needs to be the hero or else he doesn’t have any self worth.

    I love Birth by Sleep

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 11:41 PM PST

So I got the whole series for 25 bucks on psn after never playing it for the first 25 years of my life. So far i've beat KH1, KH2 and Birth by Sleep. I've also watched the movies of 358 and chain of memories. I like all the games a lot so far, but honestly BBS is my favorite game!

I like the combat because the command deck kind of forces me to do things other than mash X. I like the worlds the most because you explore them differently with each character and. it seems like in every world something important happens for the plot.

The overall story of the game amazing for me, especially if you play as Ventus first. Ven chases after his friend who he thinks is falling to the dark evil while also trying to take down venitas and being toyed with the other villians. Terra is then tricked into helping villains through the game. this isn't because he is dumb it is because in each scenario he is in the information he has doesn't paint those villains seems evil. Eventually he realizes he has been used and fights back. Aqua is a lot like ventus but is a bit less emotional and more self assured as a key blade master The villain is masterful in this game.

Always open to hear thoughts from others. Sorry if this is rambly at all. Still haven't played 3 but am hyped to do so!! So please don't spoil it.

Playing on Xbox feels like sinning

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 10:53 PM PST

I've been in love with this series since I was a kid. However up until now, I've only ever played the main trilogy. Admittedly, as a kid, I got stuck on the final Ansem fight in KH1, used my friends gameshark, and ultimately ruined my file. YouTube was blossoming at the time so I found the final cinematic there and moved on.

Once a year, every year.. I get the itch to play through the entire franchise (sans the mobile game and I don't own MoM). I never end up completing it, but this year I'm DOING IT. Thank god they're all on Gamepass.

I finished birth by sleep last week, and I just finished KH1 tonight. Again, I got stuck on the Ansem fight, but after a little grinding and puppy hunting, I was able to finish it out.

I'm a little worried about CoM being the burnout zone, but I think I'll be too busy looking forward to a replay of KH2 I can push through the weird card mechanic.

I'm playing on Beginner so I can really focus on story, and not skill, but I think I might do 2 in normal, and possibly 3 in proud.

I'm looking forward to learning and understanding even more about a story I already love so much.

[no spoilers] which was your fave game?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 07:39 PM PST

For reference, I played KH1 when it first came out and then never played it again. Black Friday 2019 I bought a PS4 and The Story so Far bundle with KH3 so I could play the full series.

I just beat BBS (Finale Episode and Secret Episode too) and am now moving onto Re:Coded movie.

Prior to starting BBS, I saw on here a lot of people hated it so I wasn't to excited to play it (similar to CoM) but honestly BBS is probably my fave so far? The fact you get to play as 3 different characters separately but all stories tie together just made it pretty amazing imo and definitely a standout.

I know a lot of people in general love KH2 but curious as to why. It was good but some parts i don't even remember.

Which was your fave and why (without giving spoilers to future games i haven't played yet, please)

Should I level up to 99 before Re mind or can I go straight to it?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 03:22 PM PST

I just finished the main story of KH3, I'm at level 38 on standard mode. I think I'm going to try platinum the game but I'm really excited to play the DLC. So, do you think I can go straight to it or should I grind, level up and get the ultima weapon first?

What worlds would you like to see added in a future game?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 11:35 PM PST

This has probably been asked a lot but I'm new to this sub and I couldn't find any similar posts using Reddit search.

A few I would like to see added would be:

Coco with a guitar themed key blade when you beat it

Ratatouille idk what the keyblade would be, but maybe some sort of utensil

And Cars, but I don't really know how they would implement the whole car thing. Maybe it could just be a mini-game like rumble racing from bbs?
