    (Probably) Unpopular opinion: Ice Cream Beat in BBS is far worse than Atlantica in KH2

    I know that Atlantica is one of the most hated worlds in the series, and for good reason - it's boring, the songs are awful, it breaks the pace of the story and it's completely irrelevant to the plot.

    However, Ice Cream Beat has these exact same issues - Disney Town in general completely breaks the pace of the story, but Ice Cream Beat especially does not fit it. Fruitball and Rumble Racing both see you go up against Pete + some unversed, even if they are both terrible (Rumble Racing is also awful because of the rubber banding, and Fruitball is just bland).

    Ice Cream Beat also has the fun addition of making you play through songs at least 10 times. Atlantica does also require you to play each song twice for the missions, but you can just quit out the second time and it still counts. In Atlantica, you only have to reach a target and then you can just ignore the rest. You can technically do the same in Ice Cream Beat, with one problem - Ice Cream Beat makes it much harder to reach the target. And when I say Ice Cream Beat makes you play the songs at least 10 times... that's not taking it account how many times you will need to replay it for a higher score, and even more so, the fact that you need to do it on all three characters for 100%.

    Whilst Atlantica's songs were definitely bad, at least they were entertainingly bad. It's still possible to get some enjoyment out of them, and even if you can't stand it, Atlantica is completely optional. Ice Cream Beat's songs are just old songs from the series playing ever so slightly out of rhythm with the time you need to press the buttons, as well as needing way too high a score. Ice Cream Beat is also requierd for finishing Ventus's story, making it obligatory for his episode, the final episode and the secret episode.

    So, in conclusion: Ice Cream Beat is just a bland song playing over a bland minigame, that is way harder than it should be, doesn't give enough of a reward (I'd rather just have a guaranteed command style from my ice creams, honestly), and makes you play through it a ridiculous number of times. I'd take Atlantica any day.

    Got Sephiroth last week and decided to do a shot with him. Had to get him because of the rage he gave me when I played against his stupid boss battle. Hope y'all like it!
