    The fact that this show hasn't gotten so much as a cameo in the whole series is unfortunate, so I made a custom MoM chart for it (WIP)

    Is it only me or does anyone else find it weird that Sora got stiffed through the whole series so far?

    I mean Riku got to spend time with Micky so we can assume he got taught the better parts about keyblades and magic from a master keyblades wielder while Sora had to learn it all on his own basically with very little input from others including yen Sid which was basically telling him what it means to be one.

    Let's not forget that even Kairi and Lea got proper training from Merlin in KH3.

    I just think they deffinatly could have done better story wise for Sora, don't get me wrong noble sacrifice and all that but still it feels like most of kingdom hearts is about everyone else except the main character like Sora was just an avatar for us to see other characters develope instead of Sora.

    At first, I really cared about the lore of this game before Kingdom Hearts 3 came out, I played all of the games around 2 times to actually know what was happening. I even watched summaries of all the games. But now, after knowing that there will be more games after the events on Kingdom Hearts 3 and discovering about the Masters of Masters and the six apprentices, I suddenly felt like it's just gonna go on for a long-time if not forever.

    I'm curious to hear your opinions on the series main character

    Sora is a character spawned from a crossover between Disney and FF characters. Sora straddles the line between the Disney characters, who are fun-loving and have an indomitable will, and the Square Enix characters, who are introspective and deal with personal issues. He's a child of both worlds and it shows.

    Sora gets some flack for not having much character development or a character arc compared to other characters like Riku and Roxas but I still think he's a great character in his own right. Sora is interesting as he's basically an audience surrogate. Besides having superpowers, he's basically your everyday teenage kid making him relatable. He has the life most people would dream of having, fighting the forces of evil alongside Donald and Goofy and exploring Disney Worlds.

    Opinions on KH3 will vary but it does give Sora a lot more depth than in previous games. In previous games, Sora was basically an invincible superhero with an upbeat attitude. KH3 shows the aftermath of Sora losing his powers. He's not happy with this outcome evident when Pete calls him weak. KH3 shows that Sora is helpless without his friends shown by his freak out when they initially die by the Demon Tide. This video explains it in more detail.

    Overall, Sora may not be the most complex character in video games but he's certainly one of the most relatable ones. I'm interested in how KH4 expands his character forward.
