Why do people find Kingdom Hearts confusing?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2021 07:59 PM PDT

Maybe in 2013 I would grant the story seemed confusing because many games were on different consoles and out of order. Nowadays however, we literally have a bundle that has all the games in order and on one system.

I just really can't fathom people who find the story confusing. To me the plot seems so basic. Yes I'll admit the time traveling is a little confusing but honestly, after they explained it for the 5th time I pretty much understood it.

Can someone tell me which part of the story they found most confusing? Cause I'm failing to see why this series is known as "convoluted" or "confusing".

When the Kingdom Hearts music fits a little TOO well...

    Posted: 17 Sep 2021 07:43 PM PDT

Played all the Kingdom Hearts games (finally). My thoughts.

    Posted: 17 Sep 2021 11:24 PM PDT

Eight months ago, I bought The Story So Far package along with Kingdom Hearts 3 Deluxe Edition, and yesterday I got the secret ending for KH3 and finished the main part of the Re Mind DLC. Still gotta do the data battles tho. And play the mobile game.

Anyways, I don't frequently post but KH was such a great experience that I had to. It was an incredibly fun and moving franchise with great characters, music, etc, and I just had to write out my thoughts somewhere.

I was initially blown away by KH1's gameplay. For something so old, it was really good. Story was slightly confusing and raised a lot of questions, but in a good way I think. Also, Simple and Clean is too catchy for a 2000s song.

Chain of Memories was really hard to adjust. It wasn't until midgame that I properly and fully understood the card system. Like, that Vexen boss fight was...annoying, to put it mildly, and I had to tweak my deck way too many times. Still, Namine, Axel, and Marluxia were awesome additions to the cast and the Organization in general was cool. Oh, and the Riku part of the game as well. Super fun, though the dialogue was funny to say the least.

358 Days was very fun to watch. My sister, who was watching me play, fell in love with Axel's character. I found myself liking Roxas. His final battle with Riku was especially awesome. Altogether, I think this game's plot was my favourite.

KH2 was awesome, as great as everyone said it would be. The Roxas boss fight was probably my favourite part of the franchise ever. The music, the combat, the difficulty, everything about it was perfect. The ending and My Sanctuary was also magnificent.

Birth By Sleep had my favourite combat system besides KH3 I think. I dunno why, but it just clicked with me for some reason. The boss fights were some of my favourites, too. I didn't expect it but I liked the Terra, Aqua, and Ventus trio almost as much as the sea salt trio.

I always heard people talk about Kingdom Hearts being complicated. I disagreed with that idea until Dream Drop Distance. At the beginning, I understood the concepts because of the secret files and stuff. But with DDD's time travel stuff, it took me until the Re Mind DLC to understand what was going on and how the Xehanorts/antagonists came back. I think DDD was a good game but the bits where they talk about time travel were weird. I bought the KH Ultimania just so I could understand the timeline lmao

    And now...KH3.

I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed when I finished the base game. Everything about it was as good as I wanted. The worlds were goofy and fun (Woody roasting Young Xehanort was peak KH imo), the graphics were outstanding, and the combat was excellent and smooth. The perfect recipe for a KH game. But then we save Aqua.

The Anti-Aqua boss fight itself was amazing, probably one of my top 5 boss fights in the series because of the music, atmosphere, and the narrative behind it. It's what came afterwards that I was let down by.

We beat Marxluxia, Vanitas, all the Organization XIII members, go from Terra's revival to Roxas' revival to the X-blade to Xehanort's defeat to the ending. Way too many things happened back-to-back. It was awesome, sure, but too fast for me to digest. I talked to my sister about this and she agreed with me. The game wasn't bad, just that the last stretch wasn't much of a stretch at all (at least story-wise).

Then, I played Re Mind and instantly changed my mind. It was like they read my mind; all my complaints were answered in that DLC.

Playing as Aqua and Roxas was one thing but the whole gang fighting against the Xehanorts? Amazing. It was exactly what I wanted. They really should have added this to the base game. It made the game go from an 8 to a 10.

Real quick, my favourite characters in no particular order are: Sora, Roxas, Namine, Marluxia, Xemnas, Young Xehanort (I loved how bratty he was lol).

Overall, the KH series was fantastic. I don't regret playing any of it, and as a newcomer, I'm looking forward to the future.

why do so many people takes aqua side in the radiant garden scene with terra and ven

    Posted: 17 Sep 2021 08:12 AM PDT

before i say anything this isn't a hit piece on aqua this is just a topic i want to discuss any way almost every let's play i watch people always says aqua was the reasonable one in that scene even just a pancke in a nutshell video makes terra and ven seem like idiot's like how was aqua the reasonable one she literally takes maleficent words as truth and say terra did bad things without giving him a chance to explain and terra up to that point did nothing wrong ( him taking aurora heart doesn't count that was maleficent controlling him ) terra had every right to be mad and ven had every right to call her out
