they added the kh3 soundtrack to spotify and i just went wild

Saw this fan made kh: 358/2 days, and coded remake cover. So I decided to make one for dream drop and birth by sleep. I think these four games are great ideas for remakes in the unreal engine. Kh1 doesn’t need one since coded is just a recap and kh 2 is already perfect.

358/2 Days on the DS is amazing

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 02:43 AM PST

I'd just start by saying I'm new to the series. I've been playing them in order starting with KH1 and CoM. While researching the series I noticed 358/2 Days gets a ton of hate, but being a purist I decided to grab a copy of the DS version (played on a real DS, not a PC emulator) before watching the 1.5 HD cutscene version. Man I'm so glad I did. Like an anime adaptation of a visual novel, so much character development and nuance is lost in the 1.5 HD version. Plus as an actual game it's fun as hell. The combat, while clunkier, is as good, if not better than KH1s imo. More interesting enemy designs and character customization. I loved the Crisis Core style missions, although I can see why people would find them repetitive. The challenge missions were fun too. I also loved the MGS style mind'effery it did with the dual screens of the DS. The game is also a technical marvel, The fact they practically recreated KH1s worlds without compromise blew me away. But most of all, the ending wasn't anywhere near as impactful in the 1.5 HD version as it was in the DS version. So yeah, Just wanted to throw that out there. Loving the series.

tl:dr, 358/2 Days on the DS is an underrated gem, and skipping it for the 1.5 HD Cutscene version is a disservice and it sucks that that was your first and possibly only experience of it.

How do you think a Cartoon Network-theme Kingdom Hearts type game would be like?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 08:29 AM PST

And also what characters and worlds would you like to see in that kind of game?

Did you prefer Simba as a summon KH1 or a party member KH2?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:23 AM PST

Maybe a controversial opinion, but playing through KH1 again I prefer Simba as a summon. The lion isn't confined to his world and his summon scene is pretty badass.

Simba is the first summon you get in KH1 so he helps you over the course of the whole game.

Why are the openings and endings to the games usually much higher quality than the rest of the game?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 10:41 AM PST

This is more out of curiosity than importance, and I mean, I kinda get the argument of "It was hardware limitations", but considering what the PS2 has run before, and considering the opening is even playing, that doesn't really make sense. Does anyone know the specific reason? My guess is disc space, but I'm not entirely sure I'm correct.

Can anybody give me some tips to help win at this? I don't really understand it very well, and i've heard it's vital to level commands easily.
