    My First One!

So I played and completed 100% on the original Chain of Memories for the first time, and I liked it, it's a very charming and unique game and definitely better than the crap remake, the gameplay is more balanced, the mechanics work better and the game is more challenging.

If you could select any LIVE ACTION Disney movies to be made into worlds, which would you choose?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 12:24 PM PST

Also, they can't be remakes of previous Disney movies.

    Here are my choices:

    • Dick Tracy
    • John Carter of Mars
    • Alice in Wonderland (2010)
    • The Haunted Mansion

Saw a thread of ppl sharing their character tier lists on Twitter, felt like sharing mine here as well. (Characters are ranked based on a variety of aspects: likability, character arcs, impact on story, my general interest in them going forward, etc.)

What do you guys think KH4 should be like?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2022 06:08 PM PST

So I just finished playing KH3 for the second time and honestly I liked it a lot more on a replay. It's not perfect but I think it's a good sign of where the series may be heading.

I was putting some thought into KH4 and everything that they're likely to touch on story-wise but also what the game mechanics might look like.

Personally I did like the combat in KH3 but I still think KH2 had better combat. A mixture of the two would be really cool. I love the keyblade form changes and that they are so specific to each world you visit, it would just be cool to be able to customize it a little more.

One of my favorite parts of KH2 (and I may be in the minority here) was that you had so much freedom to customize it to your play style. BBS had some cool stuff but ultimately I didn't like having to meld commands. KH2 gave you some genuinely customizable combos, it would be cool to see a bit more of that in KH4 but with a lot of the same ideas for form changes in KH3.

As for the storyline, I think the way the Disney plot and the Kingdom Hearts plot are converging by the end of KH3, they're clearly setting up Maleficent as a big player in the next full game. The thought of them really getting to put their new ability to create amazing worlds to the test with an awesome revisit to Maleficents castle is very exciting.

Speaking of the worlds, I was actually very pleased with the visual aspects of almost every Disney world you visit. I think it's promising however it's clear they need to bring back some of the features from KH1 and KH2 to fill them out a bit more. I am hoping by the time they do release a full game again they will have brought back more of the chests and puzzles that made exploring more worth it.

It may be time for the series to feature some more tangible side missions. One of the big let downs I had with KH3 on the first playthrough was that you didn't really have to revisit any worlds and some of them (like Pirates of the Caribbean) seemed to span further than the main plot called for. If they were to introduce side missions that have you return to previous worlds it could really fill out the game.

Anyway I'm sure I could think of a million things that I'd like to see in KH4, but I was wondering what other people thought the series could improve on or introduce.
