Post your Kingdom Hearts hot takes!

    Posted: 15 Jan 2022 10:46 AM PST

Basically just post your unpopular opinions about Kingdom Hearts. I'll start: I don't like Sora. He just feels so bland. He feels like Ash Ketchum. All other protagonists feel like people. Sora just... doesn't. Alright, now it's time for yours. Let the hot takes begin!

    "Encanto" World Concept

    Posted: 15 Jan 2022 12:32 PM PST

My idea for an Encanto-themed KH world:

You play as [Insert Keyblade Protag Here] and are drawn to a world in which you sense a strong presence of darkness. Taking place sometime after the movie, you arrive in "La Pueblo Madrigal" (The Madrigal Village), a mostly abandoned town where you discover a family with magical powers taking refuge in the village church. You ask what's going on and from their account of events, you learn that the Madrigals' sentient casita has been infected and overtaken by darkness. As such, it has become a "Monster House" of sorts with distorted halls and changed rooms. Not only that, but the family's non-magical mediator, Mirabel, has been captured and imprisoned in a sleeping state somewhere inside.

You resolve to rescue Mirabel and get rid of the darkness possessing the casita. Mirabel's older sisters, Isabela and Luisa, insist on coming with you, and their plant manipulation and super strength respectively are handy in taking out Heartless. (Party Members)

The three of you are swallowed by the monstrous transformed casita and make your way through various Madrigal rooms that have been twisted and ravaged by darkness, such as Antonio's jungle, Bruno's tower, and others that werent featured in the film. Eventually, you find Mirabel and are forced to fight a large candle-themed Heartless (something like the Dark Thorn or Grim Reaper but with dozens of candles dripping down its back?)

You also learn that having saved the miracle and proven herself to the village, Mirabel was eager to help anyone with any of their problems and began to stretch herself thin. This began to affect the quality of her assistance, at which point she began to doubt herself and fear that no one will need her anymore. Given her new connection to the casita, these small doubts festered and clung to the house, until it got big enough to have a mind of its own, abducting Mirabel and kicking the family out in the process.

Isabela and Luisa help you to restore Mirabel and escape the casita. You recognize though that similarly to Pepa, it would be unfair to keep the state of the casita tied to Mirabel's wellbeing as we all have highs and lows, so using the Keyblade, you sever the connection between the two. The house remains alive, just independent of Mirabel. And you assure them the darkness will dissipate and the house will return to normal; it just may take a few days to recover. (This is so that you can travel back to the world and explore or fight some more inside the casita rooms if you need.) Mirabel's worries aren't gone, but she promises she'll work on how she's feeling with the rest of her family's support. She and the family thanks you for helping, and gifts you the "Mariposa Miracle" Keyblade.

Additionally, there could be a fun side quest like the Dalmatians or Puzzle Pieces where you have to gather pieces of Bruno's visions and return them for him to reassemble, and maybe each vision reveals the location of a hidden item
